Bing gets the much needed standing for Microsoft

It has been almost a year since Bing was launched by Microsoft as a substitute for Microsoft Live Search. The great product has finally proved itself by earning respect for Microsoft which was really essential.

“Bing had a good first year — not a breakout performance, but it has succeeded in returning Microsoft to credibility in the Web search arena. That’s a huge step forward,” said Hadley Reynolds, an analyst at IDC.

The kind of mind blowing results Bing has shown has indeed forced the leader of all search engines, Google to be more innovative and novel in order to match up. One cannot deny the fact that Bing has secured a place among the top search engines and will definitely get even better with time.
